The Operations Supervisor is in charge of overseeing a region and all of its suppliers. They’ll cultivate connections with all providers and work to save costs while improving consumer and provider satisfaction. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for filling open positions, dealing with underperforming and outstanding providers, and regularly monitoring current providers.
Qualifications:
- Handling a self-directed team (s). The manager hires and trains his or her staff. So the team’s overarching direction is obvious. Conducts team training exercises. Decides on salary, employment, and termination.
- Use the United States Treasury Currency Operations Manual and Federal Reserve System Custody Control Principles and Standards to ensure compliance with all applicable rules governing the handling of currency.
- Participate in Department or Bank work groups and, if applicable, serve as group leader. As designated, may also lead or participate in Federal Reserve System work groups or initiatives.
- Train and oversee the customer service, data entry, and/or dispatch and warehouse employees of the shift. Offer superior customer service to both internal and external clients.
- Workers and others must be made aware of any issues that may impede cooperation or processes, resources, or other obligations. It is vital to keep in touch with the local Field Engineer on a frequent basis.
- Handle the timely and accurate completion of all paperwork associated with shipment transportation. Maintain cost control while assuring timely pick-ups and recoveries. Rate quotes or freight expenses for internal and external customers are entered.
- Supports department/division goals. Conveys ideas for new company or product development. Coordinates team action plan to achieve goals.
- Verify that all department employees get a complete and comprehensive orientation, as well as skill and safety training, appropriate materials and information, periodic evaluations, and proactive coaching to assist them in their development.
- Accounting, reporting, and recordkeeping must be managed and maintained accurately in line with corporate standards and state and federal requirements.
- Employ judgment in bringing total experience to bear in ensuring that the area operates effectively, professionally, and in compliance with business rules and procedures.
Skills:
- Leadership skill has been shown. Ability to delegate tasks and/or duties to others to optimize the performance of the organization and the person. Customer-centric. Capability to prioritize customers and their demands; establishing and maintaining fruitful connections.
- Two or more years’ experience in operations (preferably in a cash handling environment). Experience connected to banking is desirable. (At least three years of experience supervising an operations team or a similar functional area is required for level II. Five or more years of experience are necessary for Level III.) Experience must involve collaboration with others and effective leadership.
- Abilities Expertise to an advanced level in Microsoft Office, internet, and web-based software programs, as well as job-specific software. Able to do addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with US and/or foreign cash, as well as units of measurement for weight, volume, and distance.
- In exchange for one year of experience, you may get a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in logistics or supply chain management, transportation, finance, or a related subject desirable, or an equivalent combination of work experience and education. Four years of similar experience is required. Two years of supervisory or leadership experience is required. Experience in the sector for at least two years is desired.
