We’re looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team here at Engineering. A key part of this position is to help design and create software solutions that are then tested and released throughout the globe. Elevator functionality that is both dependable and safe is a key part of what we do for both our internal and external clients. First, this position will work on the integration of elevator control with the cloud.
Qualifications:
- In the future, further real-time, bespoke hardware-centric, embedded software solutions for Company Elevator Control and/or value-driven products will be required.
- Executes and writes parts of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for an assigned part of an application. Finds and fixes problems with the code and suggests changes or improvements.
- Documents development effectively. Design documentation, code comments, and project specs.
- Analyzes the design and decides what coding, programming, and integration tasks need to be done based on the project’s goals and rules.
- Contributes to the creation of dependable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for the assigned systems section or subsystem as a member of the project team with other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners.
- Develops just a small number of system software updates and additions, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
- Design, development, testing, and maintenance of embedded elevator software that connects with the cloud.
- Achieving compliance with safety and regulatory standards, such as automotive and industrial functional safety, through software and tools.
- Collaborates and communicates with internal and external development partners about the state of software systems design, project development, and problem resolution.
- Designs and improves embedded software programs and products utilized in the company’s fuel management systems.
Skills:
- Technological difficulties demand imagination, creativity, and uniqueness to create and implement complex concepts and give new approaches, methods, procedures, and designs.
- Ability to do independent research on technological difficulties and create creative/innovative solutions Knowledge of multi-threading, interprocess communication, and multi-computer architecture is required.
- Research, design, development, and adherence to specifications are all necessary to guarantee that products and processes remain consistent.
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or comparable subject, 5+ years experience
- Proven experience designing, building, and debugging embedded firmware, algorithms, demos, and/or applications for motor control and power electronics.
